Welcome back to the Macrosound Podcast. For this episode we present something radically different from our previous episodes. Back in the early 90's, years before Minimal Techno was firmly cemented as one of the most popular genres in electronic dance music, the pioneers of the genre (most of whom were based in Detroit) experimented with new sounds, aesthetics and ideas that would eventually gain momentum and were developed into something entirely different from the "High Tech Soul" sound that caracterized Detroit Techno. One of those pioneers was the English/Canadian Richie Hawtin, and we are glad to present this mix that dates back to April 1992 and we hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Tracklist:
- Long Ago – A relic
- R-Tyme R-theme
- Model 500- Sounds of stereo metroplex
- Terrace - In motion
- Carl Craig - From beyond
- Speedy J – Pullover
- Public Energy – Three o three
- Robert Armani – Invasion
- Steve Pointdexter – Work that mother fucker
- Ramirez – La musika tremenda
- Jam & Spoon – My first fantastic f.f.
- The Mover – Nightflight
- Suburban Knight - The groove

- Nu Dimensions – Rare air
- Gijs V-Room - Sonic jungle

Welcome to the Macrosound Podcast. Many thanks to all of you who attended the "Electrominds" event at "Dando Vueltas" last Friday, we hope you had as much of a good time as we did. As for this episode, we are proud to present our first overseas guests at the Macrosound Podcast. They have been DJ'ing since 1989 in their native Italy playing a wide range of music including Acid House, Detroit Techno, Trip Hop and Deep House. Along with Alessandro Piatto, they founded the Italo Business record label that consistently releases quality Techno, Tech House and Minimal Techno; and also acts as a booking agency and net label. Bringing us a mix of highly energetic Minimal Techno and Techno, it is my pleasure to present Dandi & Ugo for the Macrosound Podcast. Enjoy!

Welcome once more to the Macrosound Podcast. Pondering over our past episodes, we feel like we've left out one of the most popular and enduring genres of EDM: Psy Trance. So this isn't really an episode, rather, this is a track made available to us by Guatemalan Psy Trance DJ/producer Alien K. Alien K has taken his performance beyond his native Guatemala and has played abroad in places like New York, Mexico and Brazil; and gave us this amazing track for you guys to download! Feel free to perform and distribute this track but make sure you give credit to the producer! Visit his MySpace page at www.myspace.com/oskopsy

We hope you guys are having a great time and remember to check back for our next episode soon!

Welcome back to the Macrosound Podcast. This second half of 2008 promises to be very exciting for EDM lovers in El Salvador as many interesting parties will be taking place like the Second Istmo Music Annivesary Festival, Martin Roth, John O'Callaghan + Heatbeat and the release party for the "My Change" track that is currently under wraps. So you can imagine our excitement at seeing all this activity in the scene lately! Well I kinda drifted off topic for a sec.. heh heh. Point being: For this episode, we are very proud to present a mix by one of the first home-bred producers of EDM. He studied musical production in Argentina and returned home to; among other things; help the local scene grow and produce his own music. Appearing in this episode under his Minimal / Minimal Techno alias...Revnoise for the Macrosound Podcast! Enjoy.

Make sure you check out his most recent production "Stereo Knob EP" available now on Beatport and Audiojelly! Recommended!
